Parrinder Terry & Mark Williams
10048 Deercreek Club Rd E
Driving along Deercreek Club Road, you may have noticed that a home tucked in next to one of our natural areas has undergone a refresh. The home, previously a light peach color with white trim, now has a creamy exterior with dark brown fascia and gutters boldly outlining the roof. New flower beds surround the trees along the side and in front of the home. The owners, Parrinder Terry and her husband Mark Williams, recently decided it was time for an update and used our Deercreek neighborhood for research and inspiration as they planned what to do for their new home color and flower beds.
In deciding to update their yard, Parrinder said, “We took a lot of time riding through the neighborhood, looking at other yards, and combinations of flowers and shrubs.” For example, they selected bush daisies and Loropetalum for their yard since they both seemed to withstand the recent colder temperatures.
Once they had a vision of what they wanted, they hired Jay with YPG Lawn Care for the design and landscaping work. The process they used was to explain what they wanted to achieve, he made recommendations, and they made decisions. The main shrubs and flowering plants they used are Boxwood, Loropetalum, Plumbago, Bush daisies, and African Irises – a lovely combination of colors and textures.
To update their house color, they again focused on other homes in Deercreek, noting color combinations that would work well with their house style and roofline. A beautiful home on Baytree had the color combo they liked most and when riding by one day the owner welcomed them in and shared his color choices. We selected the same ones and are pleased with those choices as well. They used Doug Sell who was highly recommended by several residents.
Parrinder and Mark moved to Deercreek in 2020, choosing our community because it is “picturesque, ideally located, and tucked away”. Parrinder is from Miami (GO Canes!) and Mark is from St. Louis. They have three adult children, in Atlanta, New York City and Chicago, and two grandchildren! They love it when the ‘gkids’ visit – it’s always a great time! They also have two young Schnoodles, Cooper and Coco, and they look forward to attending Yappy Hour at the club.
They love Deercreek – Parrinder says, “the residents are super friendly, and we’ve built some great relationships throughout the community”. She has been a member of the HOA’s Common Property committee for 5 years. She enjoys working with other residents and contributing to Deercreek. She has participated in both DWA and Home & Garden fashion shows and is an active member of both. She and Mark enjoy the food and socialization at the club and are both recreational golfers.
In closing, Parrinder told us, “There are so many beautifully manicured homes in the neighborhood, so it is truly an honor to be nominated. Thank you for your consideration!”
