Bees are a vital ingredient to the success of our gardens-both flowers and food crops. Learn about urban beekeeping from Jacksonville resident Mika Hardison-Carr, founder of The Herban Bee. In addition to creating and selling delicious honey products, Mika works to promote urban food security by encouraging people to grow their produce in backyards and community gardens.

Deercreek’s Comfort N’ Quilters will also be holding their annual quilt sale to raise funds for purchasing their quilting supplies for the coming year. They create quilts for pediatric patients at area hospitals.
