From the Access Control Committee

Jun 1, 2026

June is a party month with gatherings celebrating all types of events. Residents can expedite their guests’ entry to parties or gatherings by doing things:

  1. Making sure guests know to have their drivers’ licenses out ready for review BEFORE reaching the visitor gate and they know the speed limits in Deercreek are RADAR enforced. Residents are responsible for all guests’ driving/traffic actions while in the community.
  2. Creating an alphabetical list, starting with last names of all guests attending and either bring the list to the guard house at least 48 hours BEFORE the event or enter the guests’ names in the gate system at least 24 hours BEFORE the event. DO NOT EXPECT the guards to enter guest names for you in the gate system, they do not have time to do that, especially in a busy time of gatherings.
  3. Making sure the list contains the name of the event, address, date and time as well as a contact telephone number in case a non-listed guest shows up to asking to enter.
  4. If you do not know how to enter guests in the gate system, the guard captain will be glad to show you how between 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM Monday through Friday. Just stop by the gate.
  5. Save yourself a citation. If circumstances occur where your trash is not collected at pick up time, a large object is not picked up as scheduled, your car is parked on the street due to a mechanical issue, etc., please contact the guard house, and let them know of the problem. No citations will be issued for unexpected circumstances.
  6. No trash of any kind is allowed on the roads, including the gutters of Deercreek. The yard trash especially is not only a safety hazard for drivers, but it can stop up drains. Residents are responsible for trash of any kind left out past or before collection times and will be cited on a daily basis. Residents are also responsible for any trash or limbs left by landscapers on a daily basis.
  7. There have been three vehicle accidents in Deercreek over the last three months, one in March and two in April, which points out careless driving occurs with in the community. Please be careful with your driving and obey the speed limits in the community.
  8. According to witnesses, one of our deer was recently killed by a vehicle in an accident that the driver could have avoided. Please drive slowly and carefully as these beautiful animals are accustomed to people and vehicles. If you should happen to hit or injure one, please notify the guard gate as soon as possible and render humane aid as possible, understanding no one is probably going to be a veterinarian.
