The following is a thank you from Max Zahn & Carson Phillips who have moved away after many years of being Deercreek fixtures. Even if you didn’t know them personally, most knew their home which was always decorated to celebrate every holiday, especially Christmas, when the decorations made it a place to visit, even if to just drive by and photograph!
When we moved to Deercreek in the early 90’s, we wondered what it would be like to live in a country club. We found out that this would be the place we would meet some of our best friends and make some of our greatest memories. Thank you to all our great neighbors within Deercreek, but especially our neighbors on Blakeford Mill and Vineyard Lake Rd N. We are beyond grateful for the lasting love, support, and memories we have shared with all of you. Listed below (in no particular order) are the people and events who made this place home for us for more than 32 years:
- The Poker Boys – for 21 years and countless “Game Nights”
- Golf Staff – Cart boys & girls as well as our amazing maintenance staff….ALWAYS helpful!
- Pickleballers & Tennis players
- Golf Tournaments – Member Guest, Spring & Fall Resident’s Cup, Course Improvement, and my Florida State Spring & Fall Championships. I never Won ANY of them….but did have 3 Hole in Ones at Deercreek and Eagled 14 Holes
- Tennis Tournaments & “Tennis is for Everyone”
- Monthly Cocktail & chat at the Club with Paul Green
- Blakeford Mill Wine with Words Club & Holiday parties
- Blakeford Mill Postal Service – Jennifer…Fabulous
- Martinez Lawn Care – always GREAT
- Mike at Nader’s Pest Raider….kills everything
- Our Michelle – best housekeeper EVER!

- Homemade goodies from our neighbors – including Homemade meals, banana bread & chocolate chip cookies…especially when someone is sick!
