On behalf of the Mandarin Food Bank, thank you for your generosity and support during our Annual Summer Food Drive.
Once again, our neighborhood has demonstrated what a caring and compassionate community we have. Your donations of food, cash, and other needed items will help local families who are struggling to make ends meet during the summer months, when many children no longer have access to school meal programs.
Because of your kindness, their shelves will be better stocked with essentials such as peanut butter, jelly, cereal, canned tuna, macaroni and cheese, snacks, and other much-needed items. The DWA liaison, Carmen Kelly, delivered 4 carful’s of donated items in the 2 weeks of collection.
Carmen is especially grateful for everyone’s continued support of this effort year after year. Having volunteered at the Food Bank for many years, she sees firsthand how much these donations mean to the families they serve. Your generosity provides not only food but also hope and encouragement to them in their time of need.
