The addition of three pickleball courts has been an asset to the recreation area of Deercreek. This was made possible by the hard work and collaboration of the Deercreek Owners Association (DCCOA) and the Deercreek Country Club. The courts are open to all residents and club members. There was no DCCOA assessment for the construction of the courts. The DCCOA has a 7-year lease agreement with the Country Club for use of the pickleball courts and the yet-to-be-constructed bathroom.
The Recreation Committee, a DCCOA committee, is responsible for managing the Skedda pickleball reservation app. Heritage Golf Group, the new owner of the country club, is responsible for court maintenance and continued court investments like lighting.
The Deercreek Country Club owns the land on which the pickleball courts were built. The DCCOA owns the lot the playground is built on. The westernmost fence of the playground is roughly the dividing line between the two properties.
Pickleball court usage continues to grow! New players are signing up for reservations every week.
