The Monthly City Rescue Mission Truck needs a New Coordinator – Small Time Commitment, Big Reward
Donations of used furniture, clothing and accessories from Deercreek residents to the City Rescue Mission (CRM) Thrift Store are a vital source of income for this essential charity. In Deercreek, this gives us an easy and tax deductible way to dispose of unwanted items, knowing the donations help others.
Elizabeth Curtin has been coordinating monthly truck pickups for CRM and its predecessor for 20 (!) years and it’s time for her to retire. This is a rewarding volunteer opportunity that does not have a big time commitment. Here’s what’s involved:
• Monitor the [email protected] email address
• Create the pickup list of addresses for the driver – 2nd Wednesday
• Let the thrift store and driver know what and where to pick up
