The Mandarin Food Bank is extremely grateful for the continued support from this community, especially over the last few years.
During the summer months, while the children are out of school, they do not receive a mid-day meal, so the Food Bank especially needs anything that can provide an easy meal for kids to prepare themselves.
We are holding our annual Food Drive from May 25 through to June 8 and whilst all items are gratefully received, the most useful items are:
- Peanut butter and jelly
- Any type of snack items (especially cookies and crackers)
- Easy to fix meals (Chef Boyardee, canned chicken, tuna, Ramen Noodles)
- Protein bars
The Food Bank finds these items to be the most appreciated and requested by working parents with children at home during the Summer months.
There will be a bin by the outgoing side of the guard gate, and items can also be dropped off at Carmen Kelly’s house (10139 Bishop Lake Rd W.) (904) 610-9789)
As always, thank you so much for your generosity.
