More than 70 ladies donning their most festive hats celebrated a new season of the Deercreek Home and Garden Club during the “Hats Galore Garden Party” on Wednesday, August 26.
The gathering held at the Deercreek Clubhouse featured lots of laughter, appetizers and bubbles as friends caught up on summer activities and heard details of upcoming programs planned for the year 2026-2027.
Each member received bracelets when they arrived at the party. As they chatted with fellow members, they gave away their bracelets to vote for the most original hat. Lucy Babik took home the prize for the best hat!
During the next year, events will include a sip and shop event, field trips to an herb farm and local museum, a Woman in History presentation and seminars on bees and organizational skills. Fundraising activities provide money for projects to beautify the community.
Five new members joined the Home and Garden Club during the kickoff party, bringing total membership to 112.
