From the Access Control Committee June 2025

Jun 1, 2025

School is now out for the summer. As cautioned before, be watchful for more young people on the roads of Deercreek in vehicles both legal and illegal. Please notify the guards or the JSO, of any incidents which are out of the normal such as vandalism, that need special attention.

  • Remember to lock all vehicles and do not leave your valuables visible. Residences should be locked as well. The guards will perform walks around residences while the occupants are away. Just stop by the guardhouse and complete a simple form.
  • Summer gatherings are a great opportunity to review the total gate guest list and remove any names not being used anymore.
  • As previously announced several times, various DCCOA fees and fines increased as of May 1. The new amounts are posted on the DCCOA website.
  • The new rules, as are the original covenants and restrictions, require that all trash and garbage is to be stored in a way that is not visible to others. The new cost for not adhering to the rule will be $50 per day.
  • An email was posted earlier about personal trash and yard waste being dumped in the dumpsters being used by the company repairing the curbs in Deercreek. If observed placing trash in the dumpsters, the person or vendor company will be fined.
  • The curb project also has its own set of hazards, so everyone is encouraged to drive slowly and carefully around the coned repairs until the concrete has time to set and the cones are removed.
  • There is an extensive and projected lengthy project in progress at the intersection of Bishop Lake and Deercreek Club Road. Caution and courtesy while driving in this area cannot be emphasized enough. The project is expected to last well into the summer.
  • Last, but certainly of no less importance, thanks to all who walk and run facing the traffic on the roads of Deercreek. You obviously value your personal safety.
  • Thanks also for those who have taken the time to have their barcodes validates and updated. It only takes about five minutes to do so at the guard gate.
