From the Access Control Committee

Feb 1, 2024

Residents who receive a citation and wish to appeal it should not contact the property manager or the guardhouse regarding the citation. They cannot take any action on citations. Rather, any contacts should be made to the Fine Appeal Committee, either in writing or in person. Instructions of where to send the written appeal or appear in person is on the back of the citation form.

There continues to be resident trash, particularly yard trash, placed in roads and yards before or after the time frames allowed for the trash to be seen. In several cases the owner of the trash cannot clearly be identified which results in incorrect citations for the Deercreek rules violation. Residents are asked to work with their neighbors to ensure trash is placed so that who owns the trash is clear.

All vehicles should be securely locked with no valuable visible when parked outside garages. While no recent vehicle burglaries of vehicles have not been reported in Deercreek, they are reported regularly in other communities.

Unlicensed drivers are still being seen riding motorized scooters and bicycles on the community roads. If seen by the guards, a $100 fine may be levied against the resident where the vehicles are housed.

Construction has started on the resurfacing of Southside and will continue for several months with traffic flow changes and interruptions. Safety during this time will be paramount, and along with safety will follow patience and courtesy. Email blasts will be sent out as needed to inform the community of situations needing attention.

For any February social gatherings, please enter guest names in the gate system at least 24 hours before the event or prepare a list of guest names, preferably alphabetized, and drop the list off at the guard house. Either of these will greatly speed up the entrance of guests.
