From the Access Control Committee

Feb 20, 2025

  • The time change occurs March 17.
  • As the weather gets warmer more and more people are walking and running on the Deercreek roads. If you must walk or run on the roads (which is illegal if sidewalks are available, and they generally are), please remember to walk facing the traffic, especially if you are using earbuds which are a safety hazard. Also, wear light colored clothing if walking or running at night. There are many sharp turns in Deercreek.
  • Parents are reminded that non-licensed drivers are not allowed to drive motorized vehicles of any type on Deercreek roads. Two recent reported observations: an adult in the front seat of a golf cart allowing a maybe 8 year old child to drive the golf cart along the side of the road to the mail box, and a young man riding a scooter on Deercreek Club Road. No driver’s license. These are safety dangers.
  • Spring break will be occurring during March. That alone, brings opportunities for more vehicles on the roads and vandalism. Be watchful.
  • Security never takes a break. Be sure to lock all vehicles parked outside, and leave nothing of value in the seats. If out and about, always be aware of your surroundings and stay near lighted places and where there are people. Lock residences as well. Deercreek is a limited access community, not a secure community.
