Thank you to everyone who helped to make this year’s Fashion Show such a wonderful event. Barbara Denman, Janet Daechsel and Karen Sayre, together with a team of volunteers, worked tirelessly with Deercreek Country Club, helped the models find the perfect outfits, decorated the club so beautifully (look at the photos of the stunning flower arrangements by Janet, Val Green, Lorraine Clancy and helpers) and organized everyone throughout, resulting in the fabulous event that many of you attended.
The raffle is our primary way of fundraising and without Cary Flynn’s tireless work on this, together with the donors and supporters, this fundraising event would not be so successful. Cary spends an enormous amount of time organizing all of the donations and ensuring that the raffle prizes are displayed so temptingly. We cannot thank enough all the generous people who either donated many of the items or who asked local businesses to, and, of course, a big thank you also goes to those who purchased tickets. Congratulations to all those who won, and commiserations to those who had to watch the items they were looking forward to winning, go to their friends!
The models looked amazing & a special thank you must go to Janet, Karen and Beth Mavelle who were so patient in helping them all select the outfits, which were once again supplied by Dillards at The Avenues. On the day, many of the models had their hair & make up done by Samantha Blake & Sandra Santos and we were so grateful for Janet, Karen and Beth Mavelle’s help both ‘backstage’ and guiding everyone to ensure the order and timing went well.
Tremendous thanks goes to our gorgeous MC, Jill Cole, who led us through the models and their outfits with such ease and professionalism, she made it look like she does this all the time!
Finally, thank you, of course, goes to everyone who supported the Home & Garden Club Fashion Show by attending.
