Once again the Deercreek community have shown their willingness to help others – this time for the Essentials Drive for the Mandarin Food Bank held in early July.
The final numbers of the most urgently needed items were 259 bars of soap, 213 rolls of toilet paper, 206 toothbrushes, 181 tubes of toothpaste. There was also a large amount of shampoo, body wash, packs of razors, conditioner, shaving cream and diapers in addition to QTips, mouthwash, kids body wash, floss, lip balm, bandaids and travel size toiletries. All of these items were gratefully received by the Mandarin Food Bank who have distributed them to those who needed them the most.
