Thanks to one of our own members – Patricia Barker – we have been honored to hear that both the St. Johns Town Center Barnes & Noble and the San Jose Boulevard Barnes & Noble have chosen our very own Books-A-Go Go to benefit from their Holiday Book Drive!
Patricia was buying books at Barnes and Noble in Town Center and mentioned that they were for this wonderful charity, and the manager was interested to hear more. Betty Metz then received a surprise phone call where she was delighted to find out that the charity she started in 2007 along with other Deercreek residents Brenda Edwards and JoAnn Kucklick, and donates so much time to, had been chosen as the beneficiary of the Holiday Book Drive at Barnes & Noble at the St. John’s Town Center. A short time later, she then received a second phone call, this time from the San Jose branch, to discover that they too had chosen Books-A-Go Go as their beneficiary of their Holiday Book Drive.
If you are thinking of buying books this holiday season, then please consider buying from either of these branches who are supporting us, and donating a book or two to their book drive as well, to enable more books to be donated to the many charities that Books-A-Go Go gives books to, including the DWA-supported charities The Bag Ladies, Families of Slain Children and Mandarin Food Bank.
