SAFETY
- School has started. Watch for buses and do not park within 50 feet of a stop sign or on another resident’s property.
- Watch for students getting on and off school buses, and remember this year there is a hefty fine for driving past a school bus loading or unloading students.
- Seen recently: two children, underage therefore unlicensed, riding e-scooters on the roads of Deercreek not wearing helmets and with their backs to the vehicle traffic. In addition to being extremely dangerous, that’s against the rules of Deercreek and the parents can be fined $100.
HOLIDAY
- Labor Day is coming up with its holiday parties as well as various gatherings for football games and other sports events. To ensure guests’ entrance to Deercreek is as smooth as possible, tell the drivers to have their driver’s license out and ready and be sure all guest names are in the gate system at least 24 hours in advance. An option is to take an alphabetical list to the gate at least 48 hours in advance.
DUMPSTERS, PORTABLE TOILETS, CONTRUCTION TRAILERS AND DEBRIS
- Dumpsters, portable toilets, and construction trailers and debris are all governed by specific rules in Deercreek, and must be approved in ADVANCE before placement at residences, and there are also rules about the placement. Failure to comply with the rules can result in $50 per day citations for each item.

- Remind all contractors and vendors that their advertising signs are not allowed in Deercreek, even when the work is being done. Residents can receive a citation for allowing the signs to remain.
- The only signs allowed in yards are lawn treatment signs and short-term congratulatory signs like birthdays or graduations. NO political or advertising signs of any type are allowed in Deercreek.
- Door-to-door solicitation by vendors is not allowed. If approached, please contact the guardhouse as soon as possible. Vendors who refuse to abide by that rule can be denied entrance into Deercreek.
- Please let the guard gate know if your license plate has changed. Having a correct license plate number for your vehicle may prove helpful if an incident occurs involving that vehicle.
