  1. Changed the license plates on your vehicles? Please let the guardhouse know, so you can be contacted in case there is an incident involving your vehicle.
  2. School starts this month, and that means school busses, students at bus stops or walking in the community and people hurrying to get to school or work. Please be watchful and courteous as this can be a high stress time for our neighbors.
    • If you park with your student(s) at a bus stop, remember by law you can park no closer than 50 feet to a stop sign. Be aware of others’ lawns and be sure to park on the road, not a lawn.
    • Please do not park where it impedes other traffic or closes the road to one lane.
  3. When vehicles are parked the road, oncoming traffic has the right of way. Please be cautious and courteous if you are in the blocked lane.
  4. JSO is increasing its presence in Deercreek this month. Resident citations have been increasing.
  5. While shopping for school supplies and parking, maintain a high awareness of where you are. Security awareness never stops.
  6. While security awareness never stops, neither does safety awareness. Remember to bike with the traffic flow, single file if riding with someone, due to the narrowness of the roads in Deercreek. Walk or run facing the traffic, and if at all possible, do that on the sidewalks, again due to the narrowness of the roads.
  7. If you find a sidewalk needing repair, please let the property manager know where it is so it can be repaired.
  8. Landscapers and vendors are required to park near the curbs and stagger the parking so as to not interfere with traffic or driveway access, or most important, create a one lane road that could restrict emergency vehicles.
  9. Vendors are also required to remove all debris or residents can receive daily citations for debris left in yards or visible from the road.
  10. Instances of young, unlicensed children driving golf carts have been reported. Unlicensed drivers of any age are not allowed to operate motorized vehicles of any kind in Deercreek, and parents may receive a $100 citation for allowing that.
