Easter gatherings will be occurring in April. Please be sure guest names are entered in the gate software at least 24 hours before the gathering.
With gatherings there are more vehicles, so please be courteous to and vigilant of others.
Do not forget to lock all vehicles and leave nothing of value in them. Residences should be locked as well.
With the time change more, more people are enjoying our great Florida weather, but the need to for safety doesn’t ever change. If you must run or walk in the roads, and about the only time that’s truly necessary is when pets are meeting other pets on the sidewalk and one moves to the road, then please stay alert to the traffic around you. Other-wise it’s an unsafe personal choice, especially if wearing headphones or earbuds with your back to the traffic. Someday….
Thinking of a project either indoors or outside at your residence? Be sure to review the Deercreek rules on the DCCOA website BEFORE starting any project to avoid costly citations for not following ARB requirements and long-term placements of dumpsters, portable toilets and other construction debris. MAKE SURE YOU GET A WRITTEN RESPONSE TO YOUR REQUEST INDICATING APPROVAL OR DISAPPROVAL OF THE PROJECT BEFORE BEGINNING ANY WORK. Keeping Deercreek attractive and neat in appearance is every one’s responsibility.
Leaves are plentiful these days, and so are bags of leaves and other yard trash as yards are cleaned up after the winter. DO NOT place yard trash in the roads or allow landscapers to do that. The bags and trash are safety hazards and can result in citations to the residents, and if an accident occurs because of them, the resident can be responsible for any damages.
By now many know about the speed sign in the north natural area. Here’s a weekly report from mid-March:
10,800 cars about 10,200 drive the speed limit (Thanks for that.)
- 521 cars 36-40mph
- 64 cars 41-45 mph
- 4 cars 46-50 mph
- 1 car 51-55 mph
- 1 car 56-60 mph
- The highest abuse is 8-9am
The device has the capability of issuing citations for the offending vehicles which the Board is considering implementing. In this case, about 600 would get citations, and of course, not all would be residents.
