A group from the DWA had a wonderful time preparing an Octoberfest dinner for the residents of Gabriel House and their caregivers in early October Besides those pictured, we had another 9 that contributed meat dishes, desserts, drinks, sides, etc! It was a delicious meal and we received many compliments and thanks from the families. We even had German music playing!
Gabriel House is limiting the meals that groups are allowed to bring in, still being mindful of Covid for their immune-compromised patients, however, we are often allowed to prepare and serve meals to the residents. If you are interested in serving or providing a dish in the future, please look out for emails advising of dates and the theme, or email the Gabriel House liaison (Jan Malick) at JanMalick2@gmail.com
Servers must be vaccinated and wear masks, and usually carpool at 4:15 pm and are home by 7:00 pm.
