Spotlight on Charity: New Heights of NE Florida
New Heights of Northeast Florida provides services to children, infants and adults with all disabilities and has been doing so for nearly 60 years in the five county area of Duval, St. John’s, Clay, Nassau, and Baker. In addition to cerebral palsy New Heights serves individuals with all types of disabilities including mental retardation, autism, developmental delays, Down syndrome, spina bifida, conditions due to low birth weight or prematurity, seizures, brain injury or other develop-mental disabilities. The programs at New Heights of Northeast Florida are designed to meet the special needs of each individual and families served, with a common goal - to enable people with disabilities to reach their greatest potential and achieve productive lives as fully participating members of their family and the community they live in.
DWA supports New Heights with contributions to their annual holiday party where our funds provide small gifts for 50+ adult clients. We will also be collecting craft materials during November to help stock the classroom. Look for details on this supply drive soon. Thank you for supporting this great organization whose mission is to “Turn disabilities into capabilities”.
