Mandarin Food Bank PB&J Drive
Our annual PB&J Drive to benefit the Mandarin Food Bank was a BIG success this year. We collected 226 jars of peanut butter and 126 jars of jelly, beating last year’s numbers. YAY!!
Also, with the help of the Alliance, Carmen Kelly was able to purchase canned tuna, soup, shampoo and school supplies this summer. Carmen and Julia Watkins delivered a lot of these items, along with a $500 check from the Alliance. Both Alliance members spent 4 hours helping the Food Bank serve their families that day. The assistance was truly appreciated since the summer months are very low on donations but the need is still very much there.
We can’t tell you how proud and happy we are to be part of this group of women who constantly reach out to our community and beyond to lend a helping hand.
