Hello to all Edgewater residents!
From time to time we would like to communicate
neighborhood news and updates via our community
newsletter and website.
Right now we have two main objectives:
1.
reduce our maintenance and operational
costs
2.
install a sidewalk to connect Edgewater and
Deercreek
For the past several months Edgewater and Deercreek
have been working together, in an effort to help
Edgewater realize future cost savings, on the various
maintenance contracts we have. Additionally, we
have been reviewing our irrigation usage, as well as
other costs, to see if we can realize savings.
We are also working with Deercreek to install a
sidewalk connecting the two neighborhoods. Nothing is
finalized yet. However, we have a favorable cost
estimate and now need to work the cost into our budgets.
This sidewalk would run from the Edgewater entrance to
Blakeford Mill Rd. I
think we all agree that a sidewalk is needed, as so many
of our active residents from both communities walk and
jog between the two divided neighborhoods.
Anyone who has ever walked, jogged, or driven past
walkers and joggers on Deercreek Club Rd. knows how much
safer it would be with a sidewalk.
I would like to thank Ralph Sawyer, our past
president, for his tireless efforts. Also, a
special thanks to the hard work on the part of our
Secretary, Ron Widlak, and our Treasurer, Raymond Saliba.
Our meetings are on the the 3rd Thursday of the
month, 7p.m. at my house -- 7741Watermark Ln. S.. Your
attendance and participation would be most welcome and
appreciated.
By the way, if you see Jeanne Harlan around please
thank her for volunteering to help work with animal
control to remove the feral cats from our neighborhood
and find them a good home.
A wonderful summer to all.
Your President,
Dan Ciez
