DCCOA Board of Director Appointments
Your Board of Directors is pleased to announce that both vacant Board seats were filled at the February 22, 2018 meeting. We welcome Gordon Spottswood and Stannye Baringer to the Board and look forward to working with them to keep Deercreek one of the premier communities in the Jacksonville area.
Gordon Spottswood was nominated and voted to fill the seat that expires at the end of this year. Gordon is a third-generation resident of Jacksonville and has lived in our community two years. He has over 10 years of experience in law enforcement and was a police sergeant in the Jacksonville Sheriff’s office in field training, undercover Vice and Narcotics as well as patrol and task force. Subsequently, Gordon worked for 6 years for the Duval County Public school system as a teacher in middle school. Since 2013 he has worked for Ferguson Waterworks in a sales capacity and has experience in municipal, private and commercial contractor sales. He also has expertise in project management, project material estimating and bid take off. Gordons hands on experience with environmental design and project management in civil construction and repairs made him a great choice to be the liaison for Common Property.
Stannye Baringer was nominated and voted to fill the seat that expires at the end of 2019. Stannye and her husband, Dave Marble, have been married 19 years and have resided in Deercreek for over 10 years. They have one married child and two granddaughters who happily live very close. Stannye has over 30 years in the financial industry working for several international banks in senior executive roles. During her career, she managed over 200 people in multiple locations, had responsibility for multimillion dollar budgets and contracts, strategic planning, national operations that included vendor oversight, communications, risk and credit management, and marketing. She retired in 2012 and formed a LLC for occasional consulting work. She also served on the board of two smaller condominium associations in SC and TN; one as President. Stannye has been a member of the CEC committee for the past 10 years and also most recently chaired the ad hoc garage committee. Stannye is passionate that information regarding our community be made available to all residents in a timely manner which makes her a good choice to chair the Communications Committee on an interim basis.
