At the upcoming Annual Meeting for the Deercreek Country Club Owners Association on January 19, 2017, elections for new board members will take place. Listed below are the new candidates that are running for the Deercreek Board:

Please return your completed ballot and proxy to the Guard Gate as soon as you receive it, whether or not you are attending the meeting. It is extremely important that we have enough proxies/quorum to hold the Annual Meeting. The meeting will be held at the clubhouse, January 5, 2017 at 7 pm. We look forward to seeing you there. I have been a resident of Deercreek Country Club since mid-1992. At the time I was Director of Information Systems for Tree of Life Distribution Company in St. Augustine. Shortly thereafter I was hired by the ATP Tour in Ponte Vedra Beach as their Information Technology director to manage the computer networking and professional player scoring for the worldwide men’s professional tennis tour. In 1996 I was hired by Bombardier Capital Mortgage as IT director. In 2000 I left Bombardier and the world of computers and technology, where I had spent more than 30 years, for a career change to commercial real estate. I am now the managing Broker/Owner of Florida Commercial Real Estate Services. I am a 1967 graduate of Purdue University, with a degree in Industrial Management and minors in Civil Engineering and Accounting.
I am a past member of the Deercreek Country Club Resident’s association the predecessor of the current Deercreek board and a member of the Deercreek Owners Association board on and off for 12 years and currently Secretary of the Deercreek Country Club Owners Association. I have also served on the Deercreek Architectural Review Board and Covenant Enforcement Committee as the liaison to the Deercreek Board.
I have a keen interest in keeping Deercreek beautiful and a desirable place to live and to protect our property values. Like the rest of the current Board of Deercreek have worked hard to make Deercreek a better place to live. I am seeking re-election for another term.
Retired Human Resources executive and resident of the Deercreek Community for 19 years. My relevant Board experience goes back to 1975 through 1979 with Ervin Industries, Inc. Florida Division operating in Tampa, Florida. Ervin was the owner of Carrolwood Village, Cove Cay Condominiums and various apartment projects in the Tampa area. As the Corporate Human Resources Manager I was responsible for all human resource functions. I addition to these responsibilities, I served on the Board of Directors of the Cove Cay Condo Association, Chaired the Common Grounds Committee for Carrolwood Village. Cove Cay was a mid-rise Condo project located on Clearwater Bay with a full service Country Club and 18 hole golf course. Carrollwood Village was Planned Unit Development with a full service Country Club and 3, 9 hole golf courses. My responsibilities included all grounds maintenance, contract bidding, security, monthly Board meetings and conflict resolution. Thank you very much for your consideration.
Nicholas T. Simonic, C.P.A., MACC is the founding partner and Chief Executive Officer of Simonic, Simonic, Ratnecht & Associates, Inc. He has more than 35 years of experience in accounting. Nick began by obtaining two Bachelor degrees, one in economics and the other in accounting. He also received a Master’s Degree in accounting from the University of North Florida and is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant. He is a Chartered Global Management Accountant. He is also a member of the AICPA and of the FICPA. Nick is also a Vietnam War veteran and a recipient of the Purple Heart.
He has experience that spans through all phases of corporate and personal tax and accounting. His expertise in auditing has given him the opportunity to work with charter schools, health care agencies, network marketers, churches and other not-for-profit organizations, as well as other business corporations.
His client base includes individuals, attorneys, doctors, realtors, business owners, ministers and churches throughout the world. His business development plans and financial counseling are assets to business owners large and small. He also conducts financial, retirement and estate planning for individuals. Nick Has served on the Deercreek Homeowners Association since he was elected in January 2011. Prior to that he served on Deercreek Homeowners Association’s board in 1995 when the community took over from Taylor Woodrow, the builder.
Kristen Wiley is a dynamic wife, mother and seasoned business professional who has been active in the Jacksonville community for many years. The Wiley’s moved into Deercreek six years ago and are proud to call the neighborhood home. Kristen is married to her best friend Jeff and they have one eight year old daughter Kelin. They have been very busy remodeling their Deercreek home and couldn’t be more proud of their little slice of heaven on Cypress Lakes Drive. Several of you may have seen Kristen running with another neighbor early each morning over the years as she is a strong supporter of the 26.2 with Donna National Marathon to Finish Breast Cancer and has run the marathon as a breast cancer survivor for the past four years. Jeff is also an active member of the Deercreek Country Club and can be found playing or practicing golf quite regularly.
