Annual Meeting January 19, 2017

On behalf of my fellow board members, we hope the holidays left you feeling grateful for family and enthusiastic for the year ahead. Or if you’re like me, feeling as though you need a serious change in diet and a 2 week vacation in the Bahamas. Maybe we can all get a group rate?

In all seriousness, 2017 promises to be an eventful year for our community. Deercreek will be 29 years old and undergo the statutory preservation of its governing documents. The Board will also be updating the Association’s Rules and Regulations to reflect our diverse and growing community while maintaining the high standards that we’ve all come to appreciate and respect.

Three Board of Director positions have reached the end of their three year term. Those seats are currently filled by Kristen Wiley, Pete Gentry and Nick Simonic. Four people have put their names in the hat, ballots were mailed out in December and the results will be tabulated and announced during the January 19th Deercreek Country Club Owners Association Annual Meeting at 7pm. The purpose of this meeting is to hold elections and a review of the past year. The regularly scheduled Board of Directors meeting will be held on January 26th. Property Owners are welcomed and encouraged to attend.

On a personal note, it’s been a pleasure serving on the BOD. I’m one year into my term and admit, it’s been a learning process. But I’m grateful for my neighbors, friends and fellow board members, their guidance and patience are much appreciated. 2017 will mark our 20th year in this community, I’ve played on its tennis team, held birthday parties at the pool, watched my little girl giggle on the tire swing and pushed her bike down the sidewalk while holding my breath. Now I’m teaching her to drive in our neighborhood, while still holding my breath! All of those memories and experiences add up to home; this is home, for me, for you. I’m grateful and thankful to be a part of Deercreek.
